National Blood Transfusion Service NBTS Sri Lanka� recognized by World Health Organization (WHO) as the best model of the transfusion services in South East Asia, provides a unique contribution to the health care system of Sri Lanka. Persuading the WHO recommendations NBTS Sri Lanka has evolved as a centrally coordinated blood transfusion service.

The headquarters National blood Center (NBC) established at Narahenpita, Colombo 05; co ordinate sixteen (16) cluster centers and sixty five (65) peripheral blood banks affiliated to each cluster center enabling to provide transfusion requirement to the entire country
